Crosswind Renewable Energy Corp. (PINK:CWNR) Still Jumping on a Costly Promotion
20 Jan 2011

Crosswind Renewable Energy Corp. (PINK:CWNR) brilliant performance in the past two weeks has been powered by a $300,000 stock promotion. The stock is being marketed as a strong short squeeze gainer, while the company itself does not give up in trying to convince the market of its numerous distribution agreements and strategic partnerships.

Nothing unusual for stocks being in such a promotional campaign happened in the last trading session. CWNR closed the market with a 9.02% jump up at $0.29. Trading volume exceeded 10 million shares, although the volume record is yet to be topped. It looks like the improved liquidity of the rarely traded CWNR shares came upon the alerts of a number of different websites that are most probably run by one and the same stock promoting company.

The campaign has been disclosed on Friday and a third party is bearing the impressive costs of $300,000 for the investor relations services rendered. Though the massive gains and the almost tripled share price since then, traders should be aware that both the promoters and the interested third party are most probably holding shares that they plan to dump on the market as soon as they notice the action is expiring. In such case, another not so unusual thing is likely to happen to CWNR stock: a large-scale share price drop off.

Crosswind Renewable Energy countless press releases from the last several months are almost not worth mentioning, much more worthy is a glance at the company’s latest available financial reports. At the end of last June, CWNR had zero total assets and it owed almost $66,000 under a note convertible into shares of common stock. That gives a good reason for the running costly promotions. Also it looks like the company has never had any revenues or products, making all its press releases sound pretty ridiculous.
